About Lincoln Futsal Academy

Lincoln Futsal Academy was founded in 2024 to give young players a place to enjoy futsal, develop their skills and build confidence.
Whether your child is taking their first steps in football or futsal, plays for a grassroots team, or trains with an elite academy, LFA has a place for them. We welcome players with different experiences and help each child find a challenge that suits them.
Alongside our weekly sessions, we take LFA teams to play against other academies. These fixtures give players extra competitive playing time and the chance to enjoy new experiences with their teammates.
We’re proud to be an England Futsal Youth Development Partner. We also offer futsal birthday parties and LFA shirts.
Our coaches care about the person, not just the player. We want every child who comes through the door to feel welcome, work hard, have fun and leave with more confidence than they arrived with.
Our sessions are built around plenty of time on the ball. Through games, challenges and small-sided play, children practise their technique, make decisions and learn to work with others. We want them to feel comfortable trying things, making mistakes and coming back ready to try again.
Above all, we want players to look forward to every session.

I’m Lee Welburn, owner and head coach of Lincoln Futsal Academy.
Football has been part of my life since childhood, from playing at Lincoln City Academy to studying and playing in the United States.
I started LFA because I wanted to share my love of the game and create a positive place for young players to learn and enjoy themselves.

Alongside Lincoln Futsal Academy, Lee is also a coach within the Lincoln City FC Academy, working with young players in the academy environment and continuing to develop his experience within the professional game.

Lee is also a member of the Lincoln City Former Players Association, supporting events and activities that raise money for a variety of charities and good causes across the local community.
